Moon & Stars
Lens: Tamron 10-24mm Camera: Pentax K-X Photo Location: Agoura Hills, CA ISO: 100

The moon is shining bright tonight. So I thought I would continue my testing of my new ultra wide @ night. I shot for about 20 mins... Thats when the coyotes started to howl... I heard a couple start the howling then it turned into a choir of howlers.. That is when I decided to walk my happy @$$ back home...

Still need to work on getting the right aperture down... but here they are... UNEDITED and shot in RAW.

ISO 100 , f/3.5, 20sec Exposure, focal length 10mm - This one I should have shot around f8 or so to get it sharper...

ISO 100 , f/4.5, 6sec Exposure, focal length 19.4mm (I thought it was 20mm ) - Shot this one at a different angle. There is a brown sepia tone to it.

ISO 100 , f/3.5, 20sec Exposure, focal length 10mm - I like how this turned out. The brightness from the moon coming through the right hand side.. taking up about 1/3 of the photo..

Hopefully tomorrow there will be another full moon...
Thank you for viewing! Any pointers would be appreciated!

Nice shots. I love the sky in the first and last shots. If you could get that first shot sharper that would be incredible.

Eddie, that is sure a nice lens, I think it will become one of your favorites, if it hasn't already. Nice shots. Bob

Thanks Bob.. Yeah i am really digging it... I am afraid i am going to need a new bag soon... one with dedicated lens holders.. The moon was so close last night it was just a perfect setting...

Here is a edited version of the Bright Moon:

I like this version, sort of has a spooky look to it, instead of a bag, you might want a suitcase. In a couple of years you will probably have it filled. Good luck with that 405 closure.
