Wall, South Dakota

The town of Wall, South Dakota.

Stopped at the cemetery, but it was generally uninteresting, except for the gate.

Not sure what these are, exactly.

Wall is home of Wall Drug, an enormous tourist attraction.

Wall Drug occupies the whole block, and more.

Across the street.

Oddities.

Only 10 miles away is the entrance the the Badlands.

I think that anyone that is in the area has visited Wall's, Kyle do you think they advertised it enough on the highway. I found they had a lot of items that I just didn't need. I can only put so much junk in the motorhome as we travel, but it is fun just to look around. Bob

Bob's right, a lot of junk, but you have to go. I think we ate at the Cactus Cafe last year. It was OK.

Now I see it ! Ha ! It's like the tourist trap from hell - Isolated Highway , captive audienience, cheesy props makes for some great photo's . We have a few of these type 'towns' along the isolated mountain roads as well.

Wall appears to be a center of impeccable taste . Some very nice shots of what is clearly a TT.

OH yes, been there many times, thanks for the pictures, I really have trouble describing the place to people who haven't been there. Now Tess will finally understand this important Icon of American culture.

I was there about 20 minutes - I did not want to get sucked in.

However, photographically, I'm sure I missed a lot - like the spigots for the free water, which was the original gimmick in the old days...
