The historic Oregon Trail passes by what is known as Independence Rock.

Many passed by in one of these.

Many left their name on the rock, some were added later.

I think this is the half way point on the Oregon Trail, looks like you were having beautiful weather. Can you imagine telling your family, "We are almost there, now shut up and be quiet". Nice photos of an interesting area to visit. Bob

Looks about right. Hopefully you would be here around the 4th of July, so you would make it before the snow...
