Nature Rocky Mountain High (4 pictures)

Took a ride in the mountains today. After a short hike above timberline, I came upon a herd of Elk. The bull elk still have the velvet on, there were some big bulls in the herd.

These were shot with my Sigma 70-300mm APO DG. The sun was in front of the elk, so the pictures aren't as good as they could have been (although I still like them

)

Yeah, maybe I should stop posting them, Colorado's not near as nice as these photos suggest people, move along
