a SQUIRREL.
I have been trying to get a photo of several baby cottontail rabbits that live in a bush near our motorhome. My wife said, "well, rabbits like carrots, lets see what happens". It worked!!

That's very cute.
I really like the way the light falls on its ears.
And you know, it's wise of you to listen to your wife

thank you Karen for the kind remarks and as far as my wife, I seem to have heard that before. As I grow older, I become wiser. Bob

No bunny can turn down a carrot, your wife knows of what she speaks.

They also love eating the dropped flowers from hibiscus bushes. More than carrots even. You want to make lots of rabbit friends? If you can, plant a hibiscus bush in the yard, preferably in a semi-shady spot near the back of the house so they think they have some privacy. We have a bunny food feeder hidden in our yard now actually. We're not supposed to feed them but I like having them around and feeding them helps keep them away from my herb pots.

Once they get to know you they're not nearly as shy. We have tons. They play in our yard now. They literally chase each other around the house and tease the cats by doing it. Every time they come around the house and they see the cats by the screened windows they stop as if to say "Nah nah nah nah!" and go on playing rabbit tag. It's hilarious and my cats just love it.

They actually talk back to them. I think at this point they'd really love to go out and play with the rabbits but the great outdoors is strictly off limits to my cats. Too many cars and big prey birds like hawks. They swoop down and take those rabbits every once in a while. I've seen it and I don't really think they would care that it's not a rabbit but a house cat...

Now, that would be something to see, you and the cats have your own wildlife entertainment. I wonder though, how the cats and rabbits would interact outdoors together without interference. Thanks for looking and the great comment. Bob
