As primarily a birder for over 40 years and not a photographer I think I have a good idea what the true plumage colors are under natural light.

If nothing else I try hard to achieve true lighting ambiance and color accuracy. It's so easy to add a lot of false "pop" in PP.

Ideally what I think I see is what I hope you get.

I shoot mostly with a 560mm FL scope not a conventional telephoto. Some of my old files like the Grosbeak were shot in JPG with a DL. Now I shoot with a K20D in RAW only.

Beautiful captures, with great detail and colors. It is very nice of you to post true-to-life pictures, not heavily processed.

I wonder how do you attach the camera to the scope?

Out in the woods I have seen the Orioles eating wild black-capped raspberries.

With a T ring, T ring adaptor and about 60mm of extension. About 40 bucks total cost.
