You're supposed to talk to plants. Did you ask the flower's permission to take its photo? No? Then you got what you deserved. <smiley goes here>

A striking shot, my friend. You really do a super job with these kinds of pictures.

Pay no attention to the behavior of the flower; when it gets older it'll turn over a new leaf (sorry) and behave itself.

Great shot, of a Daylily. I have a collection of daylilies and they are truly a very awesome flower.

Hi Bruce. Love the second flower, unusual for a Daylily. But great colors. I'm really lucky in that the NY Botanical Garden (which is about 10 minutes from my apt) has a world renown Daylily collection. From late June thru all of July there are literally hundreds of varieties in bloom. I have a gallery, (that I've yet to fully update with this year's shots) if you are interested the shots are here:

Looking at those, my collection pales into insignificance.
I would love to see them live, with camera in tow of course.
