Pedestrian Traffic at an Arts & Crafts Festival
Lens: various Camera: Kx and Optio 80 Photo Location: Bancroft, Ontario

Last weekend we had a booth at a local arts and crafts show where we actually sold several of our images! I thought I'd share a few photos of our booth. As well, I have been inspired by many of the "Street" photographers here on the Pentax Forum so while sitting around the festival for two days I thought I'd give it a try. Not as exciting as the inner city vernacular, but I sure enjoyed the creative process.

Our booth

We sold 4 large canvas (had only 6 to start with).

The underwater leaves and the tamarack sunset were the first to go

A young man from California spent over an hour with Norman talking photography...

Live music throughout both days --- this was a great Jazz ensemble but it was too hot to sit in the sun for most people!

He was dancing till he spotted the camera. I am not good at being covert!

According to other vendors the attendance to this year's show was down and most artists, artisans and crafters did not do well. Three of us did.... The "elite" painter sold three works @ 600.00 plus per piece, our canvases and prints did well, and then this fellow almost sold out of stock:

couple of other vendors... the soap guy

large smiling bear-gnomes

painter and show organizer in the shadows

The rest are random photos of people, children and my fave... dogs! (from the low down perspective).

One of my favourites:

thank you for looking!!!

What a beautiful day you had and how wonderful you were able to sell some of your photography, hey your a pro now. As I paged down to view more of your series, I had to laugh to myself...I think Tess is a dog person and I think I saw a photo of Norm also. Your booth is set up very nicely and I love the photo of the Springer Spaniel. Thanks for sharing your day with us. Bob

Oh, those darn run on sentences, sometimes it makes things sound a bit different than it actually is, doesn't it?
