Good photos, but I had the mis-fortune to be at one of these events and the tire smoke really killed my throat.

you get used to the smoke, it's the bits of rubber getting stuck to my lenses that really annoys me when the day is over

These are truly cool, Gaelen - I'm a "car guy" but pay only passing attention to races and competition. I'll have to admit I've never heard of "Formula Drift"; maybe that comes from be a old geezer .

It's funny you bring that up Jer, they did a demo at Texas motor speedway 6-8 weeks ago with some big race event there (slips my mind) and I believe they are looking at adding an event there next season. so you might see more of it

Great job on a difficult subject. Rubber on the lens wow now thats a hazzard I would have not thought of.

you'd be surprised what i find IN my camera after such events... i spend a good hour after each event cleaning. And i wear my rocket blower around my neck for quick cleans between runs
