Fountain Rock Park is supposed to be nice, so I went to check it out today. I am glad I went. Lots of turtles, some Canadian Geese, fishes, and one lonely duck.

I'm not sure if it was that park but I went to one in that county when I was a kid. Very nice scenery and a lovely little waterfall area as I recall, but one dip in and I refused to go in the water ever again. There were fresh water leeches where we went. We went wading and half a dozen of the things just locked onto my legs. You have never heard a kid scream so loud. Any park ranger within hearing distance would have thought I was being murdered. I've also been brushed by a shark in the ocean. Needless to say I only swim in a pool now and even then I check it for creepy crawlies like spiders, snakes, frogs, and other wandering reptiles....

It sounds to me as if you are talking about Cunningham Falls which is close to Thurmont. The waterfall is probably a trickle now since we need rain so badly.
