Somehow I managed to screw up this shot of Otis doing his racehorse impression down the cedar fence.......He wanted me to post it anyhow to see if anyone would bet on him to win the race? Feel free to place your bet.....I didn't see any other Squirrel racing, so it should be a sure winner? I don't always follow Otis' logic......

Regards!

Poor shooting on my part, but he did win.......I guess?

ha the shot is effective it shows speed and must just be part of Otisís workout regime to offset all those 'treats' you keep accessible - smart squirrel

Nice capture of the famous Otis, Rupert. Great timing of the shot. I tried to catch our horse once in motion like this, but he is too lazy to run on his own . I even tried to scare him, that didn't help.

Thanks guys! It could have been a decent shot, but it wasn't.....happens...a lot!

I should have known this was some sort of trickery by Otis, and sure 'nuff, it was. He is now demanding that I supply him and his Army of Squirrels with sports drinks like Gatorade since they are working out in the searing 110+F heat we have here.
Has anyone seen any peanut flavored Gatorade? He swears they make it, but I haven't found it anywhere. He did say that if it wasn't available he would accept Bud Light with a twist of lime.....and he wants those little umbrellas they put in your drinks....for shade, of course.
Regards!

Reminds me of the old comic book character, the Flash . . . . I now I learn it was Otis (or his great, great, great grandpappy) all along.

If Otis received royalties from shots taken of him he would be one rich dude.--charliezap

You haven't noticed any other Squirrel Racing ? Oh my. Around here they cover a 100ft tree (top to bottom and left to right) in just a few seconds chasing each other around - I think they would give Otis a real run for his money

Very nice focus on the race track Rupert That nice, oof, blurry, rat like thing on it, trying to draw the eye from a perfect race track, is not succeeding in my considered opinion. Maybe Otis should be brought back to earth once in a while and realize who is paying for all the nuts

I'll let you tell Otis that......you can let us know how it went after your computer, phone lines, and internet connection are repaired!
