King of the Mountain (Goats)

Came up on some Mountain Goats today. Thought I'd post a few photos of them.

Thanks Bob. These were shot on Mount Evans at ~ 13,000 ft.

High country, I missed that one by about 6.000 feet. thanks Bob

Oh, nicely captured!

Just remember to use the long glass - just saw an article in our local rag about a wrongful death lawsuit filed against NPS and Olympic Nat'l Park by the family of a hiker who was gored by a goat last year up in the mountains... Wild critters are not predictable!

Thanks guys. Jim, yeah, these guys could be plenty dangerous. It isn't mating season for them yet, so they are pretty docile. I wouldn't go near them during mating season

Really nice CJ,very very sharp.Been through there,quite awhile back,
Never had the chance to get up on goats like that.
Tragedy that happens with critters and folks some times,
people have to keep in mind those places arent petting zoo's.
