What do you call......
Posted By: Mike Cash, 11-26-2007, 03:59 AM

What do you call one television cast into the sea?

A good start.

I was down by Tokyo Bay today with a couple of hours to kill before I could pick up my return load, so I parked the truck and went down to the breakwater to see what I could see. While I am of the strong personal opinion that litterbugs ought to be publicly horsewhipped, I can make an exception for throwing out the idiot box.

I had to lie down on the breakwater and lean out over the water to take this shot. The idea of taking it while standing was enough to give me vertigo.

Very cool shot Mike!

Like I said before, you have this innate ability to find interesting things to photograph.

Mike,
I like the shot and the lens that took it. Okay you too

But, what really happened here is that some dude probably got a really good deal on a 100" (measured diagonally, of course) LCD flat screen.

The real advantage of the flat screen to this litterbug will be that fact that when he is through with it it can double as a surf board. Everyone needs more multi utility purchases these days

Ha, now you have a window into the sea!

Great shot mike and a good eye to find it and take the shot.

This image is iconic - you ought to publish it somewhere. Good photographers have great timing, and yours seems to be spot on.

Of course, the image is a bit scary to me - I'd hate to hit this thing when I'm on the bay.

Great shot Mike and I love the patterns you caught in the water. What amazes me is the clarity of the water, especially since it's Tokoyo harbor. NYC harbor isn't quite as clean.

I completely agree that this shot should be published. It speaks to our times. It is also a testament to "being prepared" at all times so that fortuitous moments like these are not lost.
