Phaenicia sericata - Green fly

Here's my latest stack.

Thanks to Yeatzee's tips, the quality of my stacked images improved a lot. (Thanks Yeatzee!) I still need to tweak the lighting A LOT, though! Didn't get to that yet.




And here's a picture of the setup I used:




It's a K5, with four PK macro extension tube sets, and a reversed EL Nikkor 50mm f4.

No no, this is a stacked shot. The fly has to sit perfectly still while I take 130 pictures. And it needs to be dead for that. I used a tabletop ballhead to firmly mount my camera and slide on the table.
