Some portraits from last weekend.
Posted By: anthropas, 11-27-2007, 03:49 PM

Hi All,

We had a lot of visitors over Thanksgiving weekend and I took some pictures of family and friends I hadn't seen for a while. All of these were done very quickly without flash and with available light. The indoor shots were under nasty tungsten lights, but I did enough work on them in Lightroom to make them reasonable. All shot with the FA 50. The shot of the male was done at 800 ISO at F2. I focused on his back eye instead of front one. Anyway all C&C welcome and appreciated!

A quick shot of their whole family outside under nice cloudly late afternoon light.

Another visitor's kids taken in harsh mid-day sunlight. I'm pretty sure I used fill flash on this.

Their adorable Girls are fraternal twins that are almost 4 and really well behaved...imagine!

Their son Lucas was also a gem. I gave him a hibiscus flower to play with and he followed me all day! Nasty bokeh huh?

Thanks for looking!

Great shots and they definitely show off the quality of the FA50 1.4! Thank you for sharing these pictures of your family and friends and hope you had a great weekend.

Very nice stuff. The first one is great and you did wel considering it ws only available light. The twins on the sofa is cute and also a great shot. In the last one I don't have an issue with the bokeh and have seen a lot worse! Nice series.

Me thinks the best is of the twins and then the one of the kids on the hammock.

Only a tiny pointer, one I'm always looking for but sometimes miss like the rest.
In the second shot, the mom has a hand creeping-up on her left shoulder. It's the same mistake as when you have a tre or telephone post growing out of someone's head.

The man's portrait is quite nice too, especially his look.
