K10d Photos.

One year and one week ago, the Pentax K10d became available in retail stores coast to coast in the USA. Beth got the first one in our area, I got the next two--greedy sucker, huh!?!

I had my first battery charged just shortly after dark and had occasion to drive through the University of NM campus. These are my first three shots with the then new K10d. It's the lovely new business college building in the Anderson School of Management. Shot through the window of our car/van, probably full auto everything.

Exciting still, to recall that day.

I took the day off waiting for mine to come in the mail. I did this as soon as it arrived.

I know some of you from the beginning of PentaxForums, others are more recent. There are some very satisfying themes in all this work, two in particular: you appear to enjoy your photography work and it's all very high quality material. Thanks to all!

This shot was taken approximatley 5 minutes after I found the package on my doorstep..

One of my firsts:

The focus is a bit off, meaning the "R" is slightly out of focus, but it didn't matter too much to me at that point; I was too busy being amazed at how sharp the photo was compared to the results from my P&S.

After the battery was charged and the lens attached, first thing I noticed was my wife's little display.

It was an exciting time. First SLR I had acquired since my X-700 (which also still brings a smile).
