Alberta Wild Rose
Lens: Sigma 105 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Sherwod Park ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F8

Alberta is WIld Rose country (hey it's even on our license plate ). They grow throughout the province. Spotted a few this evening.




What is that dark inside the rose ? I think this Bee had a rough day looks like he tied one on and had to take a nap.

Dave, I think half the people we camp with in the winter are from Alberta and I have always wondered what the wild rose really looked like. Simply beautiful for sure, great photos show why it is on your license plates. Bob

Thanks Bob indeed a slew of Albertans head south for the winter - my Dad did for about 15 years or so.

Thank you for these photos!
I now know what "wild rose" looks like. Don't remember seeing one in the real life.
Miss the blue sky and the white powder snow a lot.

Thanks Charlie - ummm maybe I could bing the lower right up some yeah ,,,, but I really like the green bokeh.

Thanks for the comments gardin - I don't miss either however have lots of the former and the later is comming ohh so soon The best part is the 16 hour summer days ....
