Waiting on the train
Posted By: Redmanll34, 11-28-2007, 10:02 PM

Just a shot I took of myself. Didn't have my tripod so I just layed the cam on the tracks, manual focused and put the 12 sec timer on. Too bad it started raining I wanted to try a few diferent approaches of this shot.

Thanks For looking
Tom

I'm rather partial to the black and white image myself. And a very clever set-up. Well done.

I'm trying to figure a way to clear that brush out infront of my face, but my PS skills are not the best or I'm just not thinking of how to do it.

Well I gave it a shot to remove the bushes but couldn't get the clouds to look quite right and replicate the other tree branches enough to make it look natural. I'm sure someone better than I could do it but it's a bit of a challenge.

As for which one? B&W definitely and great idea for the shot!

Not to beat a dead horse but does anyone prefer this shot better, I just found it, guess I was moving to quick earlier. But does the distance hurt or do better for the shot?

I don't like it as much. The leaf in the lower right is distracting. You're too far away but the framing of the head with the tree branches is better. If the shot is sharp enough you might be able to crop it and get a better version.
