So these are not from a Pentax unfortunately, but I just wanted to show what some PP can do for simple point and shoot shots. These were taken by my mom and dad on their trip to Alaska for their 25th wedding anniversary...may I add that my brothers and I were home in Illinois, but my mom said "hey Mike, can you fix some pictures we took?" I said yes, not expecting great things; yet I was rather impressed with the results, especially the sharpness with the Olympus point and shoot. Here are a few...

And now for my favorite image just because I want to experience this image in real life so badly...

I don't care what camera they used, these are stunning and the p/p is wonderful. They must be proud of such photos and to view this in person is a trip of a lifetime. thanks for posting. Bob

Very good result with the last one. With a touch of foreground boosting, this would make a stunning wall photo.

Point and shoots can be 95% as good for some stuff, SLRs are just more customiseable for certain situations - so well done for using you P&S well.

Thanks everyone! I just hope I can get my K-x out to a place like this soon! But at least I get to transform the rather dull straight out of camera photos for my mom and dad.

That is what my mom is hoping to do with that picture, so I will have to boost it up in PP before I print it!
