Graffiti and a surprise
Lens: DA 18-55mm WR Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Christchurch

Thought I'd stop at the old cattle / sheep sales yards and shoot some graffiti on the way home from work as the sun went down.

I certainly got more than I expected when I ran into this lady who had got all done up only to have the photographer bail out at the last minute. Her friend was using a point & shoot so I gave them what advice I could. In return she was happy for me to also snap some

Nifty shots! And what a fortunate circumstance! A free model-shoot doesn't come along every day. Not for me, anyway. BTW I'm a major sucker for street art. I've stayed in a few towns with local Banksy-like artists whose works just knock me out, and which draw me out with camera in quiet hours to capture and torture their images. I must avoid big cities or I'll wander entranced from graffito to graffito till I fall over exhausted.

Yes I know what you mean! I appreciate the art and also enjoy being able to add my own interpretation to the artist's work both with the camer angle and within PS
