Well, she isn't all that little.....this is Mama Festus, Otis' Mama......she is a sweet little old lady, and I don't see her around too often. Her clan takes good care of her and she stays in her treetop home most of the time. She always has a sweet disposition and is quick to apologize for Otis, and says she doesn't know where she went wrong in raising him.......

Finally a photo of the Matriarch, she must yield a lot of power in the squirrel world. Do they bring her nuts and corn and an occasional adult beverage?

Thanks Mag! I was just sitting out on the deck this evening and snapped a few.....still over 105F this evening, so I didn't linger!

Bob, she is treated like Royalty, which she is! No one gets in the way of Mama Festus and when I put out apple slices, the first ones always end up with a delivery Squirrel headed to her home in the treetops. She is one of only a few Squirrels that I can hand feed without getting bit!
