Rob, I am so glad you like them! It makes me happy to have others enjoy my efforts.
Originally posted by Bob Harris You know, it seems that using the flash also froze the wings. It has been a while since I have seen or photographed these beauties, but it seems that worked very well. Looking forward to more photos. Bob
Bob, I am honored you stopped i twice!
Yes, using the flash helped a lot. The day prior I tried without a flash but they came out too dark and my SS was too fast that it showed no motion at all. Trial and error!
Originally posted by Danny Delcambre Good capture! Try for freeze the wings. I have a lot pictures of hummingbirds. I use DA 50-200 lens. Now I use my FA 50mm 1.4 I stand to shoot the pictures of hummingbird only 1 feet because Humnmingbird trust me. Smile. I posted the pictures on pentaxforums. Smile
Danny, Thanks for stopping in. I do want to freeze the wings but at the same time show a little motion. It will take me time. Also, the Hummers are not very used to me yet but as time goes on I will get closer. When the time comes I will have a few of my other lenses ready! Thanks for the recommendations and I will certainly take a look at you photos.
