Moonrise over DC (Time Lapse)
Lens: FA77mm Camera: K5 Photo Location: Washington, DC ISO: 100 Aperture: F8
Posted By: cdurfor, 09-11-2011, 07:53 PM

Over 1,100 images shot between 5:20-7:50 PM tonight as the Full Moon rose over Washington, DC.

Images were K5, FA77mm lens, ISO 160, F8 and AV mode. Display is 24 fps. Anybody know how to string these Jpegs together without compression? I lose too much detail in the process....

Enjoy!

That is pretty cool love the clouds. Do you mean stacking ? I am not sure but there is software for that might want to post that question in the processing section of the forum.

The reason to put so many shutter actuations on the camera is so that the high quality of Jpeg stills can be conveyed in the movie format. Currently this is not occuring as I convert the stills into a movie format using either imovie or Time Lapse Assembler on the Mac. While Time Lapse Assembler has settings for uncompressed movie format, all I get is a black screen without images and a multi-gigabite file.

As for the movie, I may repost after learning how to correct multiple files on Photoshop. This series of raw jpegs requires, straightening, cropping and a touch of color/contrast enhancement. The learning process proceeds...
