We are going to miss them. These monarch butterflies are ready to go south.
The first pic was taken with the Sigma and the second with the Vivitar MF, both cropped

Great shots of this beautiful butterfly. We would go to the Pismo Beach area in CA to watch them as they migrated to Mexico and South America. Thanks for the post. Bob

Kind of a softy for monarchs, very nice job Nick. We're at confluence of
mississippi & missouri rivers, get to see alot of movement.Looks like our 3rd
generation has finished its task.Be an explosion shortly, of those that go south.
Was out this evening with dog and could see all kinds of transients
up in tree tops, bedding down for night.Timeless miracle, never gets old.
Thanks for putting them up.

Monarch

Thanks Bob and Bill for your comments
When the butterflies are gone, it's time to shoot autumn leaves. It's starting to get colder ....
