Great shot, one of the best ghost towns around. Amazing how much was left there, guess everyone left due to all of the killing. Thanks for a great pano. Bob

Yup, that's Bodie all right. I've spent some time there -- before I got my dSLR. (I'll go back after I get another housecar.) Folks left because the gold ran out and there wasn't enough wealth left to entice people to stay at 8400ft / 2555m in the rain-shadow of los Sierras Nevada in horrible winters. That is TOUGH country there! Very photogenic though, just a few miles from Mono Lake, a few miles more over Tioga Pass (10000ft / 3000m) into Yosemite. Absolutely fabulous area!

There are some great shots to be had of the cemetery there. Bodie shots also look great in B&W.

Great shot. I'd love to snoop around there for a day or so with my camera...

Thanks for the comments! I really like this location for shooting. My best images are all on slide shot with my Super Program and 20mm rectilinear lens. Someday I'll get a scanner and get caught up with the slide side. This is a wonderful part of California with so much to photograph that is unusual.
