A few of the old pier
Lens: Sigma 10-20 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Trefor, North Wales

I've lost count of the number of images I've taken of the old pier in the village.
I'm always drawn back to try and better what I've already taken (better skies and so on )

Sadly the pier has now been officially closed by the local authority, as it's deemed to be unsafe (missing support beams, which are clearly visible at low tide). However it can still be accessed by climbing through the fencing and walking along a narrow ledge (a non-starter for me, as I'm petrified of heights )

Here are a few taken recently

Lovely set. #1 is my overall favorite, strong focused composition with a beautiful range of tones and colors. #5 a close second favorite with a similar color range plus golden light on the pier. Clearly there is no end of compelling combinations of perspective, color, mood, light, in this subject.

Thanks daacon, the pier was renovated about 25 years ago. However current estimates are £250k to bring it back up to an acceptable level, money unfortunately the local authority hasn't got for this

Thanks all.

Regards.

I like # 3 best, the colors and the gull on the post make it.
