This guy has been hanging around my shop and rear deck for a couple of days...tried to get a shot of him yesterday but he got away before I could grab the K5. Today I got him cornered....very aggressive, he was hissing and striking furiously...a Texas Bull Snake...they are big snakes, often over 8 ft long and with a diameter like a Rattler. Non-poisonous, they are constrictors, and powerful ones at that.
I don't speak much snake, they are "low talkers" and hard to understand, and their hearing is very bad too...deaf in fact. He did say that being a Bull Snake, he was not after me but after a certain Squirrel that he heard was almost solid Bull, and would keep him in survival throughout the coming winter......Reckon who he had in mind?
I relocated him, man alive those coils are powerful, he can squeeze the life out of your arm, but now he is way off in the distant woods where he can hunt for other meals and hope Otis Army doesn't hear that he was hanging around here!
Better by far than what Mrs Rupert wanted for him!
