Winter visitors

I had a flock of cedar waxwings come around while I was out shoveling the snow today so I grabbed my camera.

This would have been a nice shot if it weren't for that branch in front of the bird...

This one I was annoyed that I'd cut the tail off....

Still, it was fun watching them and grabbing shots.

Very nice Scott,

I'll be in your province again in 1 month, for a little more photography.
With a little luck I'll see some of your fine feathered friends.
You just know that I'll be enjoying my 2 free nights in a Waterton bed and breakfast
(part of the deal in a 10 picture sale)

1 & 4 are close to being exceptional waxwing shots. Excellent sharpness and exposure. With any luck, they'll give you a second chance.

I hope I get to see some this winter.

Nice shots Scott. Ah the heck with the wee bit of missing tail in the last shot! That is my favorite anyway. I don't have these birds in my area, I enjoyed seeing yours.

Thanks Tom, they sure are a pretty bird. I love watching them as they move about in a huge flock the entire group sweeping from one spot to another without any reason I can understand.

LaRee, thank you. That last shot is my favourite too.

#4 even with the tail short is my favorite. Nice clear great color. Always nice to take a break from shoveling and doing it with the camera is more fun.
