This train runs daily from Williams AZ to the Grand Canyon. I got this night shot on the railroad spur that runs near our campground.

Good Shot !!!

I was going to try to drive up the other weekend when they were going to run the "Giant French Fry". Its the old steam engine that runs on bio fuel - recovered grease from McDonalds - named since it leaves the smell of french frys behind it - or so they say.

The only thing better than a photo of a train is riding one. Especially in the observation lounge, at least that's what they are here. They have one here that goes through the rockies from Edmonton to Vancouver.........Bas

We just happened to ride the steamer last year for its anniversary and you could smell the oil it was burning. Here are a couple of photos from last year. thanks for looking. Bob

Great train shots Bob... Did you use a star filter on the first one for the lights? I like how they flare out...

Eddie, I added the stars using an in camera filter, I think all of the K cameras have this option in p/p editing. Glad you liked the shots, Bob

Hey Tom, I am with you on those steamers, they have a special sound about them and all of that clanking and clunking to boot with the steam blowing out, now that is a locomotive. take care Bob
