Grand Canyon
Lens: 43mm ltd Camera: K-x, K-5 Photo Location: Arizona
Posted By: Bob Harris, 09-26-2011, 09:10 PM

Every time I visit here, I stare in wonderment at the grandeur and size of one of natures greatest creations. This is a certain must see if you haven't, a revisit if you have seen the canyon before.
Due to the immense size of the canyon, I think this is one of the most difficult places to photograph. I found that even if I wasn't happy with my photos, I am always thrilled to view natures experiment with maximum erosion once again.

A great series Bob and I echo your sentiments. I like the 3rd one the best. It's a place I need to re-visit.

Nice views, but I find the tree the most interesting.

Thanks Dave, I didn't know what images were the best until I uploaded them to the computer, like I said a hard place to photograph so I was happy with what I got. Bob

Bob, these shots are simply outstanding! They do a wonderful job of conveying the depth and size of this big hole in the ground. The thing is almost impossible to absorb when viewed in person and your photos do a terrific job of communicating that.

That is one of my wife's favorite also, i thought it was funny that I was taking all these photos of the canyon and she likes the tree shot the best. We should of gone up to the Rocky Mountains, oh that is right, that is where we are headed now. Thanks Kyle, appreciate you commenting. Bob

Jim, that really surprises me, next time you are in CO, just keep going s/w and stop when you get to the big hole in the ground. Take care, Bob

Thanks for looking Tom, there is quite a bit to see and do in the area. A two week vacation visiting the right areas in AZ and UT and you will see enough "red" to last you a lifetime. Bob
