As a newb I thought I'd post some photos of my local - Ullswater in the English lake District. All within 5 or 6 miles of home and its just getting to that beautiful time of year again.

Hi

I see in your "About me" summary photography is rivaling your passion of golf. Same with me, except in photography I miss fewer shots.

Lovely photographs indeed. The first one is a wee bit too purple for my liking, but perhaps you did this on purpose for some reason. I am generally known to prefer more realistic colour reproduction, but that is neither here nor there.

Greetings

First one is a combination of the B&W110 and Hitech ND Grads - long exposure tends to over warmify. Sometimes I prefer realism and sometimes I like a more rose tinted version.

I still miss less shots on the golf course. Still playing off 5 and hopefully with a bit of time on my hands can lower it a wee bit.

Thanks for the comments

...and TFS indeed, mark lj. I have very fond memories of my first visit there thirty years ago, when I was struck with the beauty of the place - it was June, and the height of summer, and I captured the views with my K2DMD (which I still have). Seeing your photos makes me think a visit at this time of year would be well worthwhile, too, this time with the K5.
