Some of my 2007 photos. The sunset-photos I have done "much" work with in elements, the others very little.

Thx I was really lucky with that last shot, I was just there to take photos of the fiord, when this cod came slowly swimming over that shallow area in front there

Those last 3 are very nice. Welcome to the forum as well. Looking forward to more from your area. The 2 sunset shots (same shot) don't look very natural though. Sorry but they look very over processed and saturated.

Constructive criticsm is always welcome, so thank you

I dont normally do much with my photos, those two are part of my "elements for a dummy" training program The original picture is quite boring actually, I was diasppointed when I first saw it, it is this one:

More photos will follow. Am I allowed to put out pictures that are 1000pxls wide here? I`d like yopu to se numer 3 and the last one a bit bigger...

Sunsets can be difficult to expose for. Particularly before the sun actually goes behind the horizon. In my software program I can lighten under exposed areas and leave the properly exposed sections alone. You may want to try that. I'd much rather have the natural shot than the 2 processed ones though. The original is by far the better version.

One thing you can try next time is slightly over expose the sky and then adjust things a little later. Another idea would be to bracket your shots. take 3-5 with various under and over exposures. Do them as close in time together as you can. Note the settings and learn what works best for your eye and style. It's all about experiments and practice.

Thx all

The autumn photo I kinda got accidentaly. I drove to a nearby river wanting to take soepictures of the colourful autumn banks. But I was to late, there was so little leafs left it looked like winter

Then on my way back to the car I saw all these lovely leafs drifting in a small stream. I put one under a bridge so I could get an "above and down" angle and shot a few shots before I went home. At home, I realized that was the best deal of the day

I Think the darkness and the naken trees shows the cold and sad part of autumn-summer is over, winter is coming.... at the same time, the leaf shows the beautiful transmission(?) between summer and winter.
