Lake Louise
Lens: DA 12-24 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Banff, Canada

After a perfect morning in Lake Morraine we headed to the more infamous Lake Louise - many many more tourists there and in fairness what a place Gawd there are so many shots we took I am soo happy with - Jim we WILL do this again - anyne wants to join PM either of us what a freaking blast (fall 2012 be there !)

First time in a loooooooong time the glacier has been visible

Chateau Lake Louise a great place albiet a bit $$$$

The water is soo green yet soooooooo cold (about 3 celcius)

Took a stroll on the less popular side of the lake well worth it I think

This shot I really cheated - went well past the do not go past here sign

Yup even in August, you'll be hard pressed to see anyone dare hop in the water there! But it sure does make a great skating ice in the winter!

Dave, all great shots, but 4 has some wonderful separate reflections in many different shades. thanks Bob

They are all my fav's visually stunning,must be the change in season that brings it to life soo much,Dave.When I need some inspiration rather than
perspiration I will look up yours and Jimbo just to name a few to fire up the neutrons TFS

Thanks Dave... reminds me of a morning I spent there, the year I hitch hiked out to Van. ( maybe 69). My ride was so determined to see Lake Louise we parked in a parking lot next to the lake at 1 in the morning, slept in the car, and woke up to a very simlar morning. It's all coming back to me now...

Thanks Jim I hear ya - just about done the Banff / Yoho shots then on to the Jasper ones .... time consuming but worht it (still need to get more brutal with the delete key !)

Thanks Dave indeed it is beautiful country we only had 6 days , could have used 6 months. If you are in this neck of the woods let me know , maybe we could arrange another group outing

Thanks Paul it is well worth the trip - make sure you go see Lake Morraine as well (you'll see the signs as you trun off to Lake Lousie)

Thanks rayallen - lived here over 30 years and this is the first time I have gone there specifically for photography
