Dragonflies
Lens: Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 Camera: K20d

Damn these are hard to capture whilst they are flying about! I managed to get 2 I was happy with but I'm not convinced and will be trying again fairly shortly to get some better shots.

The mid air ones to me look a little soft, using an smallish aperture of f8 and watching my shutter speeds I was finding pressing the shutter at the right moment so they were sharp difficult, thought I had mastered it a few times as when looking through the viewfinder they looked damn sharp but then on review they were not! Not sure if the convertor was helping or hindering me :thinking:

All with the Pentax K20d, Tamron 70-200 f2.8 and a Kenko 1.5x DG convertor

I love that first shot. And I'll concur, these beasties are really really hard to clearly catch on the wing.

Good stuff.

Yep they fly quickly and erratically making in flight damn difficult, you did well.
