the first two give me a cold, wet and damp feeling, so I much favor the third which makes me want to get outside and explore this beautiful area. thanks Heinrich for posting these. Bob

Great drama in the 1st two. I am sort of envious of this area. I will definitely need to get there at some point.

Thank you Bob and it was cold, wet and damp. September weather can be just about anything up there but with proper clothing really enjoyable, to me it is a magical place.

Take care,

Thank you for looking and commenting, it is an area well worth a visit. We are very fortunate to live so close by.

Take care,

Thank you Jim, that image had hardly any color at all so I just converted it to B/W.

Take care,

Hi Dave and thank you. That first one didn't have much color anyway so I converted it to b/w.

Take care,

What an incredible landscape! All three are wonderful but the first is just amazing! Well the second too.... okay the second if my favourite with those volumous clouds. I love the layers and the veiled mountains, the light is beautiful. The third image is very interesting with its combination of calm and drama. All are marvelous. Thanks for posting!

Thank you Tess, these are fleeting moments and sometimes one is lucky enough to catch a glimpse at the right time.

Man Oh Man - I'm really sold on the first one, Heinrich. I don't recall seeing a B&W from you, but I'd sure like to see more.

Hi Jer and thank you, this one just had to be done in b/w, it had little color to start with and enhancing it didn't work, hence the conversion. I have a few more that should be done in b/w.

Take care,

Thank you Tom and you are right, for me at least the whole of the Rockies are special.
