12 is Enough
Lens: 70mm Camera: K5 Photo Location: Larkspur, CO

My daughter raises Silver Labrador Retrievers at her home and her female just gave birth to 12 of these beautifully colored labs. 6 male and 6 female and all were born healthy. I thought you might enjoy seeing what the silver labs look like, they are the popular lab to own is what I was told.
I think I had the WB set wrong for the first photo which gave the pups more of a chocolate color than the actual silver color. Thanks for looking, Bob

Tess, three dogs and Norm is really a handful, you have enough to worry about and care for as it is. thanks for looking. Bob

Karen, I think my daughter said she breeds the female once a year, last time she had 10 pups. Poor thing, they will have to put her out to pasture if this keeps going on.

Brings back memories of raising English Mastiff pups for more than 20 years -

The scene in the first photo is what we always called "The Pile Up" - what a sight to see the whole pile of newborn pups!

Great captures - thanks for sharing.

My daughter converted their basement to a kennel and she only raises one group at a time so it is organized and even heated and air conditioned with doggy doors. Too much responsibility for me though, but they are fun to watch while they are all trying to feed at the same time. Poor Mom!! Thanks for viewing and commenting. Bob
