Some shots from this fall... I don't think I got a picture of the quintessential fall shot but, maybe next year.

Hi Norm these are great! I was up last week but the colours I found this year were not as vibrant, not sure why but as always it was great to be up in the park.

Dan

P.S. on #6 and #7 looks like a bit of sensor dust in the top left

Norm, I like them all, however #6 really does a number on me. I like reflections. Thanks for sharing, Cliff

Very beautiful pictures! The first one is my favourite and best liked . It has a nice composition of coloured trees and water. And the colour gamma is very good.

Alberts

P.S. If I have time, I will post some photographs from so-called golden fall (autumn) in Latvia. The fall in Latvia is not as impressive as in Canada but it is also quite nice .

Thanks for the comments usn Alberts and Bob... I hope to see those pictures from Latvia Alberts..

there was an early peak this year mrclark... this picture , which looking back was probably the peak for the red maples and oaks was Sept. 25

usn ret - We were blessed with some very still water while we were there unusual for this time of year.

If you look at the last photo and the third photo. taken on Sept. 25 you have the reds from the oaks and sugar maples. In the later shots they are mostly gone. They've been replaced by the yellows from the birches, and in the later shots the oaks are pretty much bare.. you can see the empty tree branches... but, it's all good, and not every tree peaks at the same time, so really, there is no perfect "peak colour" time.. it's more of a progression.

Yeah, they are ok, if you like beautiful scenery, excellent composition, and artfully photographed. But after that, what do you have.

Great stuff.

Thanks for sharing, Norm
