Nice shots, cropped or did you get that close? Probably not a real flighty bird.

These are terrific and I do find Heron's to be flighty and hard to photograph with this kind of clarity! Great capture. It took me a second to see the male and female mallard in the last photo. Wow... very very nice.

I agree with Tess. These guys seem to be difficult to get close to so I appreciate these shots very much! Great job!

nice! i tried some pics like those this weekend, but herons are to shy... 400meters and they fly away. though theres too much crop on your pics, degrading a bit the IQ.
