Blea Tarn, Lake District
Posted By: mark lj, 10-16-2011, 04:13 AM

Some new kit arrived this week - 15ltd, 40ltd, 70ltd, D-FA100 macro WR, DA16-50 and the DA60-250. Weather has been dire but managed to get away at dawn to Blea Tarn yesterday. Quite a nice morning wihout being stunning but at least it gave me a chance to play with the 15 and 40 primarily. Unfortunately the clouds melted away very early. Also had a go with the 16-50 and the 100. Favourite has to be the 60-250 - Last shot was with it during a late afternoon walk later on yesterday looking down on Pooley Bridge and Ullswater.

These images are breathtaking. That 15 did an amazing job on the first --- a perspective I have always loved. Well, just over the top good--- all of them. Thanks for posting!

Incredible detail, especially on the second one.
Quite an enviable kit and location you have there.

Cheers folks - very impressed with the 40mm (second pic). Can't believe how small it is but great sharpness and detail. Still like a kid in a sweet shop with all the new stuff. A one off for me and it'll have to do me for quite a few years (along with the 31mm that wasn't in stock when I ordered). I think the 15 will be an almost permanent fixture. Little walking bag with the 15, 40 and 70 in it.

Beautiful landscapes, Mark. Soft, calm, almost unreal. To me they seem to have a painting-like quality. Thank you for sharing.
