You're right about that Dave, most of the time we have had clear sky and then several days where you couldn't see Pikes Peak so was glad to get at least the one shot. thanks for viewing.. Bob

Beautiful shot, Bob! Doesn't it make it so much more gratifying when you have to work a little harder for the shot? It's gorgeous!

Funny thing is Marcus, we were sitting down for supper and my wife happened to look out the window and noticed the sunset, so I hurriedly went down the campground road to an open spot to get my photos. Glad you like it and thanks for looking. Bob

I like the strong contrast between the black ridge and the wonderful light above. And you were right about waiting for the clouds!

thank you Lori for taking a look, seems like the older I get, I have to work harder for everything. I am retired though, so the wait is always worth it.

I always wonder when I'm running to somewhere fumbling with my lenses and gerenrally getting out fo breath in a hurry.. how does this work, she sees the picture, but she doesn't run for the camera... I do, then when I get back all out of breath she sips on her glass of wine and says.. "oh, that's beautiful". There's some kind of scam going on here, I just can't figure out waht it is.

Remco, Pikes Peak is about 14, 100 feet, so you can see how high that ridge is. Would make a nice place for you to take one of your long hikes. Thanks for commenting, always appreciated. Bob

Thanks Norm, I think you may have a point. When I got back from taking the photos, there were two shrimp missing from my plate and I am pretty sure I hadn't drank that much of my White Merlot. You may have uncovered a scam as you say that is worldwide.
