my day at the zoo
Lens: Vivitar Series 1 90-180 Camera: k7

I went to Utah to visit my dad after his heart attack last weekend and we picked 12 boxes of apples from their trees. We called the local zoo to donate them for the animals. As a result we toured the zoo. Here are a few of the images.

Thank you for the kind words Bob. Dad is recovering, tires easily, spends evenings sucking O2 from a bottle. We rented a wheelchair at the zoo and a good time was had by all.

That little sand cat looks like it's either under the weather or truly ticked at seeing the stupid humans with cameras, laugh. Liked that and the lynxes the most. Nice.

Nice series.
Liked the elephant and silverback most because they're my favorite animals.
Real gentle giants.

Hope your father will recover well.

Zoo photos intrigue and hurt me. They intrigue me because I see a whole other universe in the eyes of the animal. I also see (or project) an aura of sadness ... Your excellent photos have captured both beautifully.

I appreciate the story that goes along with these photos. I am sure the animals loved the fresh apples! And I too hope your father recover's fully.

Thank you everyone for the good wishes. I spoke with Dad last night and he's doing a little better every day.
