Some fun with the autumn sun
Lens: DA21mm limited Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Bantega, Netherlands
Posted By: Fries, 10-23-2011, 02:48 PM

Went on a little fishing trip for pike this afternoon but I ended up with more photo's than fish.

1. Longing for sunlight without purpose; the flower is gone...

2. Sunflare

3. Summer remnants

Wat do you think? Should I concentrate more on the fishing...

Remco, that last one is a real fine image thanks for posting them. As for the pike fishing, this time of the year it can really be on and off.

Wonderful photography from you Remco, never boring and that is refreshing to view. Sometimes the best fish are at the market, I found that after years of fishing and thousands of dollars spent on fishing equipment.

Heinrich thanks for the compliment! The fishing serves more and more as a excuse to get out and shoot! But I used to be able to catch nice pike in this time of the year. After I sold my Sylvan (due to two stolen outboard motors in two years time) the fishing got worse.

Bob, most of my shots are still pretty boring but the ratio boring&not boring is improving little by little and you only get to see the ones I'm relativly satisfied with. Glad you like them! The last couple of years I only spend money on fishing to replace things and photography sort of replaces fishing as a investment. Though I haven't bought a lens this year, yet... The strange thing is I seldom eat fish and I still like fishing.

Cheers,

Remco

I really like that first one - it's as if the plant is reaching, yearning for the dwindling sun.

Thanks, thats the message I wanted to get across! Luckily photography is universal for a not native English speaker like me.
