Late Season Dahlias
Lens: Pentax 40mm f/2.8 Limited Camera: k-7 Photo Location: Eugene, Oregon ISO: 200

A trio of my favorites from my morning walkabout town. Seems amazing to be photographing brilliant flowers so close to November.

I especially like the way with the b&w one came out. Curious what you all think...

Thanks,

MK

very nice photography MK, the b/w has a certain softness to it, nice conversion there.

Hey Marcus, these are extraordinary. Simply beautiful. The black and white is very very nice but I think you should crop some of the top off to match the rest, but that is just me. I love the rich orange and soft yellow of the next two. Believe it or not I just got in from my hike and the photo shoot of the day was the flowers left in my garden. I will be posting them soon. We are on the same creative wave-length. Cool. Thanks for posting.

Hey Tess,

Thanks for the kind words. Glad you liked them. It's fun to be on the same page! BTW I had dinner with some folks from Peterborough and Minden, Ontario last night. Good people. I could claim a little Canadian geography because of all the fine photos you and Norm post (needed all the help I could get on that score). Looking forward to your flower shots.
