Got some keepers this afternoon:
Posted By: Tom Lusk, 12-12-2007, 03:28 PM

Probably one of my best nuthatch captures, thanks to the lighting and a co-operative subject (gotta love it when they smile for the camera!)

Also got a couple of other species. Will process them and post later.

P.S. Bad news- the PPG declined my previously posted rare bird and fish shot. Research revealed this particular species had never been documented by the World Ornithological Organization, and even Wally Audubon couldn't recall a previous sighting.

I was counting on becoming famous for that shot and get sponsorships so that I could travel the world photographing mythical creatures.

Ya know I was wondering why they wouldn't care about something that's never been sighted before.... then (just now) I remembered...

Wow! That is a sweeeet shot Tom. You are good at this aren't you. ;-)

I think there is definite hope for your sponsorship to tour the world. You deserve it. Just make sure you keep sharing here when you are famous.

Nice shot, I love the background, much better than the normal washed out sky that you previously posted/stated is the norm for that bird.

Also sorry about you missed 15 minutes... it happens to the best of us.

Outstanding Tom even by your standards The sharpness , color , bokeh, framing, pose, I could on and on.

And if perhaps you get sponsorship for mythical creatures - mention there have been Unicorn sightings in Caribbean that require your immediate attention
