Last flower pics of the year (sniff)
Lens: Tamron 90 2.8 macro Camera: Kx Photo Location: backyard

Well, there is a lot of seed pods and brown out there with the exception of a few flowers and buds still striving to bloom in my garden. With minus 11 predicted for the weekend they won't make it. So this is it till next spring... from now on ... how many ways can you photograph mushrooms and fungi?

Thanks for looking.

This pretty Cosmo made it...

doubt these will...

My geraniums are still budding and trying to bloom despite the frost bite. Maybe I will bring the planter inside.

Petunias have had it.

Found this little guy on a doomed bud...

Lanterns, just in time

These little flowers sometimes bloom through the snow.

Dropping seeds for next year

All of the above were taken with the Tamron, these next two with the Pentax 18 - 135

Tess, you still have a lot of beauty in the garden, especially for this late in the year. Don't fret, you can always view your beautiful photos until next spring arrives.

These shots have that terrific combination of crispness and rich colors that seems to escape me so often. Beautiful job, tess.

Hey Tess-what a great series, very beautiful! The dahlia (simple and lovely) and the last one (frilly swirling seed heads floating above a billowy bokeh) are my favs. Nice variety of colors and textures too.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you all for your very kind comments. I am so happy I took these the other day and we woke up to an inch of the white stuff this morning and all those beauties are now gone. However, with every door that closes another opens and the birds have returned to the feeders!

thanks again for looking and taking the time to comment
