Travel Boats in Devon

Spent a week in Dartmouth last week and took around 900 photos. These are some of the ones containing boats.

The Cape Corsair arriving in Dartmouth with Kingswear behind.

The Tall Ship, Stavros S Niarchos off Slapton Sands. Slapton Sands was where nearly 900 American Servicemen lost their lives during Operation Tiger, a practice run for Operation Overlord, when German E-Boats attacked them at night.

A small boat 'taking off' as it leaves the River Dart and heads into the English Channel.

An old Sea Dog arrives in Dartmouth with his crew!

Thanks much for posting these - I love to see nautical scenes from around the world. I especially like the first pic - the Cape Corsair motoring in after a brisk sail.

Thanks Jer. I'm not really into boats (normally if I go on one I'll be leaning over the side calling my mates 'Ralph' and 'Huey'!!) but I do like to watch them!

Dave & Paul: Glad you both liked them. I particularly like #2 as it took me a number of shots to get the bows out of the water.
