Paris with a Pentax and a samyang 8mm
Lens: Samyang Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: Paris
Posted By: melander, 10-27-2011, 09:26 AM

Spent some 5 days in paris a couple of weeks ago and had a fantastic time, much better than when I was there on a student budget. Played with my samyang 8mm to get a different view of paris

Lines

Fat one

Ofcause the Eiffel tower isnt that big after all

But still you can see almost the entire world from up there

Notre Dame as the Eye sees it

If you go there, you will have to find your own gem

Very nice - I especially like the use of the contrail in 'lines'.
I wonder what the 'fat one' would look like corrected. but do like it in its raw form.
If you can hold the sun you can obviously catch a moonbeam - right ?

Tip: Thanks! I wouldnt know how to begin correcting these 8mm files So much distortion when you whant to have it, almost no distortion when you dont want to have it. (Its a lovely lens). And to catch a moonbeam, well, challange accepted

DCmsox: Thanks, I love my 8mm lens

That shot of the girl holding the Eiffel tower is very cool and is a real attention getter.

Really nice shots, we got back from Paris around 6 weeks ago and it was our first visit. Really enjoyed it, but thought the tower was painted the drabbest brown I've ever seen so I think the black and white conversion here works on several levels.

Well done.

Great work on all of these. I love the first one and the last one is very clever!
