Winter's about to crash this landscape. I feel like everything is just holding it's breath.

I believe it, winter, has already crashed. Look, it knocked all the leaves off the trees in #1 and #5. Great shots, they capture a very somber mood. Thanks for posting....Cliff

You really captured the mood of autumn in these shots, nice work! Although winter appears to be a bleak time of year, it still has plenty of beauty and the best part is springs next!
Wonderful shots, all of them! Tom

Beautiful series. There is so much to shoot in every season. Really like image five with the contrast of color with against the ground. JIM

Autumnal excellence here, Jay. You certainly captured the essence of the season. Glad to see the DA35 Limited is still attached to your camera - you're on a good run!

Beautiful series. All images very different and all capture a mood of autumn becoming winter.

Thanks Nate - I plan to keep it on there for a while, I just forgot how optically flawless it is.

Thx Dice. Autumn ----> Winter is an overwhelming thing here, the seasons are so radically different that the transitions even seem to hold a huge potential energy. Hopefully that's conveyed.

I love the mix of colours and textures in the second shot.....the crispness of the leaf between the green squash and the pumpkin....
