Visiting the Garden of the Gods
Lens: 43mm ltd Camera: Kx Photo Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Posted By: Bob Harris, 10-30-2011, 04:57 AM

Located on the outskirts of Colorado Springs, this is one of those places that you will want to visit again. You tour the area by car and can stop at many locations to picnic, hike and even rent horses to explore the back country. A wonderful visitors center explains the history of the area and should be included on your visit. Admission is free and the visitors center offers food and a HD movie of the area can be viewed. If you would like more information, click on this link. Enjoy the view. Bob

Was able to visit for the first time early this year. It is a beuatiful location. What I didn't know was Norad was just over the hill in the background of the first image. JIM

Glad you made it to The Garden, Bob. You came away with some lovely shots. Did you also have a chance to visit Red Rocks just east of Denver in Morrison? If not you must - especially if it involves attending a concert at the natural amphitheater there.

Finally, I can actually say I've been to one of these places, Bob! I wasn't into photography back then, and really wish I could go back some time. You've captured my memories of GotG perfectly! I especially like #2 and #7. Wonderful!

Hey Jimbo, Nebraska has hills, that is probably over 10,000 foot. Thanks for taking a look, take care. Bob

Harish, Colorado has a lot to offer, but you know, I haven't seen a lot of birds on the Plains of CO. Guess they are all up in the Rockies. Bob
