Kinderdijk - Windmills
Lens: 50-200mm WR Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Kinderdijk
Posted By: Snipes, 10-30-2011, 06:29 AM

Here some shots I took today off the Windmills at Kinderdijk. Unfortunately it was a grey day, so this was the best I could make of it:

1. 1/100 | f8 | iso100 | 50mm

2. 1/160 | f11 | iso200 | 50mm

3. 1/250 | f5.6 | iso80 | 50mm

4. 1/250 | f5.6 | iso80 | 50mm

Nice, B&w works well on #3 & #4, it helps capture the mood. However here in the US the government safety guys and other nitwits would have them shut down because some fool stood in the way of the blades and got himself killed or seriously injured...Darwin theory at work. If it hurts don't do it. If it can kill you pay attention to what is happening around you, Rant.. Thanks for sharing..Cliff

Great shots. Enjoy 1. the most with the reeds in the forground and the water leading the eye to the windmill.

These have good memories for me from business travel to the area, but never had a good camera with me at those times. Have been a few times to the company around the corner. IHC. Perhaps you know it?

I love Kinderdijk! Not sure how you visited there, but I strongly recommend a bike excursion through that area, either starting or ending in Alblasserdam.
